Jiah Khan's next movie is with Aamir Khan

Jiah Khan got the rare opportunity of making her debut with Big B and working with Aamir Khan in her second film. The starlet who romanced Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd will now be seen kicking butt with Aamir Khan in his upcoming flick.

So she's back to being her sexy self in a steamy dance in the film. Yes, it's a kinky JLo kind of a number and it has been shot by one of the best ad makers of the country. It's a completely stylised video.

But her second film and again a ‘sexy’ tag? "On the contrary I am covered from head to toe in this film. As far as the song is concerned, it's a very international song, a very energetic number not entirely sexy.
But you've shot some daringly bare photographs for a magazine cover? "I don't want to talk about that," she shrugs. Why, aren't you happy with the results? I really don't have anything to say it, she insists.

So how about talking about the rare opportunity of making her debut with Big B and working with Aamir Khan in her second film. "I have been praying for this since I was a child. So God is hearing me out and touch wood I'm really lucky that he is bestowing this upon me.

And working with Aamir was overwhelming. He's a big star, Does it help that both of you are Pisceans? She chuckles at that. Performing with legends whether it's Mr Bachchan or Aamir is nerve wrecking but they're such professionals that they put you at ease.

What about Aamir's great bod and groovy looks in the film? I remember once I was passing the sets and he was doing a scene in which he was working out and I was so impressed coz he looked just amazing. I think for an actor to be so dedicated and involved in his work to completely change his looks is something we need to look upto."

We get a lil' naughty and ask that having worked with the industry's best and most wanted men namely Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Shahid Kapoor, whom would she like to date in real life? "Oh God! You can't ask me this question," she screams in protest. Okay so we narrow down the choices to the two As. "You can't be doing this to me! I look upto the two so much, I respect them so much that I can't even think of dating them," she says with a laugh.

So whom do you have a crush on in real life? “There are so many. I'm a pretty young girl and like any other girl who has crushes. But I think Shah Rukh is amazing and so is Akshay. It's amazing how he's maintained himself. And Shahid is an extremely sexy guy too. I'm working with him and he's a really nice human being and someone I also respect.

Jiah Khan had to give a very long audition for this role. Worst was the fear of rejection that played on her mind. “But, when Aamir and Murugadoss told me I was in, I couldn’t believe it! I broke down and was literally in tears. I was overwhelmed and I was so happy, tears automatically welled up my eyes and began rolling down my cheeks,” she says.

And, the other moment that’s etched in Jiah’s mind is the first day of the shoot of Ghajini. “Aamir Khan my mother that if I was a part of Ghajini it was because of my own achievement and talent. It was the best compliment I have received, and that too from the best actor of the country — Aamir Khan.” Ok, point taken, but she still has to wait for the audience’s verdict.

Jiah Supports Cruelty Against Animals

Jiah has been signed up to propagate the campaign to ban cruelty against animals. The young actress, of course, is enthusiastic about her new role. She says, “I am very proud to be part of the PETA campaign and I would love to endorse similar causes. I am really fond of animals and have three cats and two dogs as pets.

Jiah Khan is scheduled act in the Hindi version of Pokiri with Salman Khan. Prabhudeva, who is directing the movie, was keen on casting Asin but, it was Salman Khan, who recommended Jiah’s name.

Boney Kapoor(producer) met Jiah Khan and explained the character in detail and the budding actress happily agreed to be a part of the project. She actually has straight hair. “My hair is naturally straight, I did not straighten it for any film or to look different from anyone. The curly look was acquired for my first film Nishabd. I had to braid my hair to get those curls. And I maintained that look, so people thought that it was natural,” says Jiah, defensively tossing her long, silky tresses.

When I came into the industry, I was naive and didn’t know how to deal with certain people, issues, so I used to openly voice my opinion but now I have grown up. I’m a very private person. You won’t see me even attending parties,” says the girl, who prefers spending time with her close friends.

“I’m happy doing my work and I’m glad that I’m getting good offers,” says the girl whose first film Nishabdh was opposite Amitabh Bachchan, next is with Aamir Khan and Shahid Kapoor.

Debutante Jiah Khan still can't believe that she went out on a date with Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom when she was in Venice recently.

The actress was in Venice with her friends for a vacation when she met Bloom. "Jiah was chilling out with her friends at Cipriani, one of the famous bars in Venice when Orlando Bloom walked in," says an eyewitness.

Jiah was wearing a white top and denim jeans. Orlando was enamoured by her looks and her long hair. "He complimented Jiah on her hair and her typical Indian looks.

He mistook her for a Pakistani, but when she told him that she was from India, Orlando asked her about Indian food," says our source.

Jiah was hesitant to go out with him at first, but soon she warmed up to Bloom. He asked Jiah for a drink and dance.

They had red wine and discussed cinema at length. When Jiah disclosed that she was an actress from India, Orlando was pleasantly surprised.

They partied till late night and Orlando later offered to drop her to the hotel. But she preferred to leave with her friends.

When contacted, Jiah said, "Yes, I did meet Orlando Bloom in Venice. He wanted me to have a drink with him and I agreed. I find him very attractive.

He was in Venice for some film festival at that time, where one of his films was being premiered. He seemed to be clued in about India, and Indians."

What did Bloom have to say about Bollywood? "He knew only about Amitabh Bachchan, and when I mentioned that my debut film is with Amitji, he was highly impressed," said Jiah.

Jiah Khan's debut film Nishabd, in which she acted as the love interest of Amitabh Bachchan had created quite a buzz for its theme.

Jiah Khan, all of 19 years, was the love interest of a 60 plus Amitabh Bachchan in the movie. The film bombed but Jiah managed to make her mark, for her statuesque frame, her long legs and the flowing curly mane.

Ask her what she learnt from the film and she withdraws for a moment and then says, “Let’s not talk about it.” But surely working with Big B must have been an experience of a lifetime?

“Of course, when you work with an actor of his stature, you learn so much knowingly or unknowingly. It was undoubtedly a big break for me and it was a beautiful experience working with the superstar,” she is quick to say.

But today Jiah Khan has two big films in her kitty. One is Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan and another film, directed by Ken Ghosh, opposite Shahid Kapur.

She has gone on record to say that it was her dream to work with Aamir Khan, and now it has been fulfilled. “It’s everybody’s dream to work with Aamir, he is easily the best we have today. I am extremely lucky to have been cast opposite him in the film,” gushes Jiah Khan.

And what about working with Shahid in Ken Ghosh’s next? “Please, I am under contract and can’t speak at all about this film,” she says.

In-between the release of Nishabd and the announcement and shooting of her latest films, where has she been?

“I was in London spending time with my sister and family. Otherwise too, I am not the party types, and don’t believe in being in the limelight for no reason. It’s not that I was idling time, I was working on my look and makeup and clothes for Ghajini, which has been shot extensively in South Africa. I also utilised the time to work on my diction,” informs Jiah.

In Ken Ghosh’s next film, which is a musical, Jiah will be trained by a Hollywood choreographer for her dance numbers.

A trained dancer herself, Jiah says, “I am not talking about my role in the film, but yes, when it comes to dancing it is all the same, right from Salsa to Kathak, we all dance to rhythm, which is there in our limbs.”

The leggy actress has often been heard admiring the oomph factor of Bipasha Basu. Ask her about this and she says, “Each actress has some sort of an individual charm, which works for her. I find Bipasha’s shoulders and arms very well toned and attractive.”

And where does her sex appeal lie? Maybe in her long legs? “Oh, I don’t think I’m tall enough to be called leggy. I think it’s for others to decide.”

And as she begins to get good roles, is there any particular strategy that she has in mind for her career? “I’m happy with the way things are today, and life is looking good, I have just one guideline that I adhere to. I close my eyes and hear the script, if I can picture myself in the role, I accept it,” she says.
